Infidelity Survivors Anonymous is a support group for individuals who have experienced infidelity-induced trauma caused by any form of sexual betrayal in their relationships. (This is a Women Only Meeting)
In ISA we learn helpful and practical tools to cope with the trauma and other consequences of infidelity. In addition to these useful tools we have an opportunity to work the ISA 12 Steps, and experience the benefits of the ISA Promises. Members from any spiritual background are warmly welcome to attend our meetings.
We are also looking for people who are willing to start a meeting in new locations. Please let us know if you are interested in starting a new meeting!
Our members find that receiving support from other infidelity survivors promotes the healing process and often results in meaningful new friendships. You are not alone!

As a fellowship of recovering addicts, Sex Addicts Anonymous offers a message of hope to anyone who suffers from sex addiction.
Through long and painful experience, we came to realize that we were powerless over our sexual thoughts and behaviors and that our preoccupation with sex was causing progressively severe adverse consequences for us, our families, and our friends. Despite many failed promises to ourselves and attempts to change, we discovered that we were unable to stop acting out sexually by ourselves.
Many of us came to this realization when we started attending SAA meetings. In that setting we heard stories similar to ours and realized that recovery from our problem was possible. We learned through the SAA Fellowship that we were not hopelessly defective.
The basic principles of recovery practiced by SAA are found in the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous. Although we are not affiliated with AA or with any other organization or agency, we are, indeed, grateful for permission to modify and apply the Steps and Traditions to sex addiction, making recovery possible for us.
Although sex addicts may act out sexually in many different ways, there are common elements that seem to characterize our addiction:
- Powerlessness over addictive sexual behavior.
- Resulting unmanageability of his/her life.
- Feelings of shame, pain, and self-loathing.
- Failed promises and attempts to stop acting out.
- Preoccupation with sex leading to ritual.
- Progressive worsening of negative consequences

Many members struggle with television, video games, news, and other behaviors. If you find yourself repeatedly in painful or self-destructive patterns involving the usage of media, screens, or other devices, then ITAA may be able to help you find freedom and relief from what you are experiencing. Newcomers are encouraged to attend 6 meetings within a short period of time to determine whether this program is right for them. Our meetings are based on non-judgmental, compassionate listening, and meetings have opportunities for newcomers to ask questions.
Letting go of problematic behaviors
- Getting rid of problematic social media accounts
Many members have found it helpful to delete social media accounts. If we feel fear, we discuss with other members and trust that the right answer will become clear. - Deleting problematic apps from your computer or smartphone
If a particular app is problematic for you, it is recommended to delete it from your devices. - Finding offline alternatives
Many things we do with technology can be accomplished with offline tools. For example, you can buy a physical map of your city instead of using a map application, use a watch instead of checking your phone, read physical books instead of e-books, go to the store instead of buying online, or write in a physical journal or planner instead of writing on your computer. - Delete your stored data
Some members engage in ‘digital hoarding’, collecting unnecessary bookmarks, emails, notes, files, or other data. It can be helpful to let go of this clutter by simply deleting it. - Switching your smartphone for a feature phone
You can switch out your smartphone for a “feature phone”, a non touch-screen phone with only call and messaging features. - Letting go of home internet
Some members remove their home internet, either asking their roommates or family to change the password, or disabling service and letting go of their router.
In letting go of problematic behaviors, we may struggle to come to terms with the loss we fear may be involved. Wondrously, many of us have found these actions to bring great relief and ease to our lives, and the expected loss of utility is often forgotten as we find other ways to satisfy our needs without relying on the internet and technology.

The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop addictive sexual behavior. There are no fees or dues.
We practice strict anonymity and confidentiality, so that our meetings are a safe place for all of us. Who we meet or what is said in a meeting is considered as confidential.

We find a new way of living through the SAA program, and carry our message to others seeking recovery. In meetings, we listened as men and women shared their experience, strength, and hope with each other to find freedom from addictive sexual behavior and help each other recover from sex addiction. SAA meetings offer an accepting, non-threatening environment where we can share our common struggles and learn how to apply the principles of the Twelve Steps to our everyday lives
Our primary purpose is to stop our addictive sexual behavior and to help others recover from sexual addiction. Recovery was possible for most of us only when we accepted the fact that we were powerless over our addictive sexual behavior and that we were incapable of changing without help from outside ourselves. Many of us came to this realization when we started attending SAA meetings. In that setting we heard stories similar to ours and realized that recovery from our malady was possible.

We find a new way of living through the SAA program, and carry our message to others seeking recovery. In meetings, we listened as men and women shared their experience, strength, and hope with each other to find freedom from addictive sexual behavior and help each other recover from sex addiction.
